The Product Owner is a highly motivated individual, responsible for setting, prioritizing and evaluating the work generated by the customer and working with the software Scrum team in order to ensure impeccable features and functionality of the delivered product.
We are seeking a strong software Product Owner to work on multiple customer implementation projects delivering software solutions using our innovative and industry leading products.
The Product owner acts as the Proxy Product Owner for the Client and carries out the role of Product Owner for the Scrum team.
Ensuring that key relationships with the client are developed and maintained; assisting Pre-Sales, PM at project kick off, Requirement Gathering
Gathering requirements from customers by liaising with business teams and understanding requirements as needed
Accountability for requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria definition
Assesses features and stories deliver maximum value and capture client requirements
Takes lead of scrum teams as the Product Owner
Ensures that the team always prepare ‘Stories’ to work on that meet our definition of ‘ready’, for the current and next two sprints
Works closely with the consultants and customer to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
Communicate with Agile Coaches on impediments to sprint/release goals and works towards resolution
Actively maintains knowledge of Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
Ensures the product feature backlog and scope is aligned with client expectations
Manages backlog health and facilitating refinement of user stories
Requirements / Qualifications:
Demonstrable experience of working as a Product Owner, with experience within Financial Services, and/or understanding of Securities Services, Custody and Asset Services (Settlement, Corporate Action and Income) and Withholding Tax business
In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
Excellent client facing skills
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
Logical, analytical problem-solving skills and IT experience is a MUST
Creative thinker with vision
Strong attention to detail
Degree/MA/Academic qualification in Computer Science or Engineering would be beneficial
Experience in business change management is an advantage
Experience of mentoring and coaching teams new to agile practices would be an advantage
