Responsibilities / Duties:
Position is in the Operations division, reporting jointly to Head of Operations Asia and NY Operations Head of Resilience.
The candidate will serve as part of the Operations global resilience program office and provide guidance and support for the development, implementation, testing and documentation of comprehensive Business Continuity Management (“BCM”) within the local region.
This position will lead the drive to ensure that the Bank operates with a confident state of recoverability and resiliency.
Ensure compliance with the Banks Business Continuity Policy, Standards and Framework.
Proactively identify control deficiencies through technology self-assessment testing, risk and control initiatives and BAU meetings and discussions.
Provide training, support, and business continuity consulting to assigned business groups, internal partners and their associated functions.
Monitor and report on progress of testing activities and associated corrective action plans
Assessing and responding to alerted events and engaging the appropriate resources to react, respond and recover normal operations within the expected Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs).
Perform Incident Management role and responsibilities within the assigned region(s)
Support the configuration and optimization of Business Continuity Tools.
Assist the local lines of business in developing an effective priority sequence of recovery options (portfolio approach) to achieve business recovery resilience while balancing cost, risk and recoverability to arrive at optimal recovery solutions.

Validates the accuracy and completeness of recovery plans and requirements
Represents the business needs as they relate to resiliency and provides feedback for improvements to Operations Resiliency Leads.
Represent APAC operations on Bridge Call. Confirm initial actions to be taken by each functional team
Manage follow up on actions or playbook enhancements post closure of the incident
Work with appropriate stakeholders to determine communication requirements (client, regulatory, ..)
Work with business on mitigation and remediation response and actions
Requirements / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10 + years of experience preferred, especially working for a regulated financial services firm.
The individual should have an understanding of the banks businesses and a general knowledge of banking regulations.
Strong attention to detail, project management experience, and familiarity with a risk and compensating controls environment.
Requires ongoing independent oversight of complex business continuity activities and recovery management governance for the assigned business area(s) and preparation for potential crises, both technological and business related, among other risks.
Advises, assists and tracks training and awareness on required deliverables, monitoring deliverables for completion, and escalating issues promptly when encountered so deadlines are met.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments of varying scope and complexity in a cross functional environment.
DRII or BCI certification preferred
Risk Management and/or Project Management Certification a strong plus
Confident self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and attention to detail.
Utilize and apply a strong risk oriented perspective to deliver control and mitigating solutions.
