Job Title: Trade Finance Middle Office

Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Review workability and justification of Export LC terms & conditions for consideration and recommendation to add confirmation (open/silent) per clients' request
  • Review credit facility for each TFS client's trade application
  • Escalate unusual or deviations to TFS TS team / Risk for commercial decision.
  • Provide consultancy service & expert advice to clients on Trade products  - involves the TFS or Doc Trade Specialists if necessary.
  • LSO function for Clients' Remittance Order and Receipt.


  • Receives and judges (correctness, judicial conditions, etc) incoming requests for bank guarantees and define concepts in response to these requests.
  • Match requests and information to ensure alignment with contract copy provided by client.
  • Regular contact with other internal departments, clients, counterparty banks where necessary
  • Identifies clients eligible for bank guarantee arrangements.
  • Monitoring auto-renewal guarantees / standby to take the necessary timely actions.
  • Provide consultancy service & expert advice to clients on Bank Guarantee matters.
  • Reconciliation of terms on Counter-guarantee and guarantee to be issued
  • Application of knowledge on URDG and ISP.
  • To lead in the negotiation process with clients on the guarantee / standby text together with legal, risk, and compliance department.

  • Acts as commuication bridge between GSO and Front Office.
  • Work with LSO / GSO to ensure provision of quality operational services
  • Provide approval (within delegated authority) to each client's application to LSO / GSO for processing.
  • Track and follow up on the execution of deals which have been pre-screened for compliance and valid CDD.
  • Arrange for interest rate fixing (COF / LIBOR) & confirm to relevant parties where necessary.
  • Provide local support to clients who are onboarded on IBT.
  • Review and analyse new deal or product before activation.
  • Ad hoc assignments or tasks or projects delegated.
  • Monitor and invoice clients (Corporates / Fis) in relation to fees due.
  • Take care of daily processes with or on behalf of the clients for their products.
  • Provide reports to clients and other departments (be it ad hoc, monthly, yearly etc).
  • Monitor limits and report accordingly to Account Manager and Risk Management.
  • Ensure follow up activities & scheduled events.
  • Validates claims to ensure alignment with legal conditions and clear view on related risks.
